I just received this weird little package in the mail. A purple celophane envelope with my name and address on it. Turns out it’s a coupon for a free sample of Silkies Enriche Ageless Moisturizer (which I’ve never heard of)! And all I have to do is mail back the coupon in the postage-paid envelope and the sample is mine… And the catch: should I forget to contact Silkies and tell them I’m no longer interested in their product, they will keep sending me bottles of the stuff and billing me for them….forever! The sad thing is, many women will fall for it.

I only posted this, because lately, I find myself getting more and more irritated by our culture’s obsession with maintaining firm, radiant skin well into our golden years.  It’s not natural to have youthful skin in old age! Those expressionless, Botoxed faces on all the magazine covers are not fooling anyone.
